Profile
- Trained travel agent and studied business administration
- Originally wanted to be a hotel buyer for a tour operator
- Loves the mountains and the sea
- Took a wrong turn during her studies and ended up in steel production in Duisburg via a steelworks in Brazil. Gained a lot of experience there and had a good time, and am now grateful to have returned to her professional roots.
- Plus two children and a husband – „my family makes me proud and happy!“
What do your friends say about you?
Funny, enthusiastic, organized with a slight tendency towards perfectionism
Favorite travel destination/hotel?
Thailand and Austria – I can’t decide on one hotel, the Anantara Riverside in Bangkok is beautiful, for family holidays I really like the Dachsteinkönig in Salzburger Land
What should not be missing in a hotel room for you?
Clearly: a coffee machine. There is nothing like the first cup of coffee in bed. For emergencies, I now have a small travel coffee machine
What would you be if you weren't a hotel specialist?
Probably still a controller in a steel company – that’s what I used to be. Nice too, but steel can’t keep up with the wonderful product „hotel“
What do your customers say about you?
My customers appreciate my reliability and my response time. I have high expectations of the quality of my work and my customers sense this and reflect this back to me – which of course makes me very happy!
Where can we find you in your free time?
Often on the edge of a sports field, either on the soccer or hockey field, as my two children are very sporty. I also love to work out and go for a lot of running or work off excess energy on the punching bag. Since the energy has to be replenished, I like to go out to eat or I also like to cook myself.
What do you particularly like about your colleague Alex?
Alex is incredibly lovely and friendly. Like me, she is a fairly new „hotel specialist“ and I really appreciate the exchange with her. She has a lot of industry knowledge and is happy to share her knowledge. She is a great colleague! She also likes drinking beer just as much as I do, which is also a bonding factor 😉
What do you like most about your job?
It’s all about hotels, that has always been my passion – and now not only privately, but also professionally, which makes me incredibly happy. I deal with a wide variety of people every day, as my customers come from all sectors. It’s always an exciting challenge, but it’s also a lot of fun. I also love the contact with my hotel partners, we maintain an appreciative working relationship with one another. My work usually doesn’t feel like work – what could be better?
